Hi,
I’m Karyn AKA “The Designing Woman.” I live with my husband of many years, my mother, who is aging gracefully, and Bozwell (“Boz”), a Pomeranian who is “the cutest dog in the world.”
I am blessed with two grown children, their wonderful spouses and eight amazing grandchildren. And of course, they are all good looking and above average. (as Garrison Keillor would say of the residents of Lake Woebegone.)
I am living an ART-full life making watercolor paintings and practicing calligraphy. I enjoy reading and needlework and working with children: Good News Club, Vacation Bible School,and the church nursery. I delight in a circle of friends and family that bless me immensely. But, my best friend is Jesus. I thank God for the gift of life He has given me in the Lord Jesus Christ- my physical life and my eternal life. Knowing Jesus makes everything so beautiful. In time of trouble, I have the hope of His glory forever, in time of ease, I have the joy of His presence and all His abundant good gifts.
Those gifts include good food and so I have become a baker of renowned scones, a coffee snob and consumer of fine chocolate on a daily basis. It is my contention that real butter and chocolate are two of the major food groups. Far be it from me, however, to turn my nose up at a big steak and a loaded baked potato! (accompanied by some fresh steamed broccoli!) When I consider the amazing variety and goodness of food God provides, I thank Him again!
But now, back to my studio.
